Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports is reporting that second baseman Orlando Hudson and the LA Dodgers are close to terms on a 1 year deal. Hudson would replace Jeff Kent, who retired after the 2008 season.
Hudson, coming off left wrist surgery, is one of the best defendesr in the majors at his position. The signing would cost the Dodgers a draft pick and it also means that Blake DeWitt, for the moment, is out of a starting job.
