It looks like tonight's game may actually take place. The rain has stopped in NYC. Baseball in the Bronx!
Here is the Yankees starting lineup for this evening, courtesy of Peter Abraham.
Jeter SS
Damon LF
Teixeira 1B
Matsui DH
Posada C
Cano 2B
Nady RF
Ransom 3B
Gardner CF
Wang P
We haven't seen the Cubs lineup yet, but we've heard that Alfonso Soriano will be the first batter in the new stadium. Another former Yankee, Ted Lilly, will start for the Cubbies.
This is the first time the Cubs have been to the Bronx since the Yankees swept a three game interleague series in 2005. That series included the lone grand slam of Derek Jeter's career.
How about this fact- Jeter, Jorge Posada, and Mariano Rivera will become the first Yankees teammates to play together in parts of 15 straight seasons.

Very exciting game tonight. I'm excitedly live blogging it. Jeter is loving this new park.
