Chad Jennings is reporting that Scranton reliever Anthony Claggett (Hey Anthony, you still haven't seen back the answers to the Q & A we were doing) has been recalled by the Yankees. No word on the move at the big league level to make room.
Joe Girardi has already ruled out putting Hideki Matsui on the DL, so that would mean one of the Yankees pitchers will either be demoted or DL'ed.
We have to wonder if Damaso Marte is 100% healthy. He's been God awful this season and if you recall he pitched in the WBC with tightness in his upper back/shoulder area. He didn't tell anyone about it and you wonder if something is bothering him now.
Congratulations to another call up, Dan Giese. One of the nicest guys around was recalled by the Oakland A's last night and is in Toronto to face the Blue Jays.
