The
Scranton Yankees are off to the fast start the
New York Yankees would like to have. It took 11 innings today, but the Yankees
Triple-A affiliate prevailed over the
Mets top squad, 5-3.
The Yankees improved to 6-0 when
Austin Jackson walked, stole his second base of the game, and scored on
Angel Berroa's double.
Kevin Russo's fourth hit of the game, also a double, provided an insurance run for winner Mark Melancon (1-0).
