1. May 17, 1998
David Wells tosses the 2nd perfect game in NY Yankees history as he beats the Twins on a Sunday afternoon. Bernie Williams homers and drives in 3. Pat Meares flies out to Paul O'Neill for the game's final out.

2. October 9, 2004
It's Game 4 of the ALDS in Minnesota. The Yankees lead the best of 5, 2 games to 1, but trailed Johann Santana and the Twins 5-1 in the 8th. Santana only last 5 innings, but Grant Balfour blanked the Yankees over the next 2 innings. Juan Rincon comes on in to start the 8th and Gary Sheffield greets him with an infield single. Hideki Matsui follows with a walk and Bernie Williams delivers an RBI single to cut the deficit to 5-2. Jorge Posada strikes out, but Ruben Sierra blasts a 3-run HR to tie the game. The Yankees win it in the 11th when Alex Rodriguez doubles, steals third, and scores on a Kyle Lohse wild pitch. Mariano Rivera works two perfect innings for the victory that sends the Yankees to the ALCS.

3. April 15, 1976
Yankee Stadium reopens after 2 years of renovations. A packed house of fans and celebrities watches the Yankees beat Minnesota 11-4 .

4. May 17, 2002
Jason Giambi earns his pinstripes. 4 years to the day that David Wells threw his perfect game against the Twins, another beefy Yankee makes his mark. Giambi got off to a slow start in his 1st year in the Bronx, and the fans were giving him a tough time. The Yankees blow an 8-3 lead and trail 9-8 in the 9th. But Bernie Williams blasts a solo HR off Twins closer Eddie Guardado to send the game to extra innings.

The game remains tied until the 14th when the Twins score 3 times to take, what seems like, an insurmountable 12-9 lead. But the Yankees load the bases against Mike Twombley as Shane Spencer and Derek Jeter single, and Bernie Williams draws a walk. With heavy rain beginning to fall, Giambi sends a long walk-off grand slam into the night to cap a remarkable comeback.

5. May 2, 1992
The Yankees lose to the Twins 7-6, and tie a dubious team record by allowing 4 home runs in a single inning. Shane Mack, Kirby Puckett, Kent Hrbek, and Randy Bush each hit long balls off of Scott Sanderson in the 5th inning.
