Interesting debate. Mrs. George didn't come close to reaching home plate when she threw out the first pitch, but Igawa just stunk up the join again in 3.1 innings. The Yankees trail 4-1 and it could have been worse if not for Igawa's fielding of a bad bunt, and Jorge Posada's pickoff of Nyjer Morgan at 1st base.
All told, Igawa allowed 4 earned runs, 5 hits, and walked 3. His pitch count was already in the 50s in the 3rd inning. This guy stinks and it's not going to get any better.
The lone Yankees run is on a Derek Jeter solo home run.
