Breaking News: Reds Fire GM

The Cincinnati Enquirer is reporting that the Reds have fired GM Wayne Krivsky after less than 3 years on the job. The Reds brought former Cards GM Walt Jocketty in this past off-season leading to speculation that Krivsky's neck was on the line. Today that's exactly what happened.

Krivsky was hired in 2006 and has a contract that runs through the end of 2008, but Reds ownership decided to make the change now. Jocketty had been serving as CEO and special adviser to the president, and will replace Krivsky immediately. A press conference is being held this afternoon.
