Yesterday was tender day in MLB, or in the case of some players, non-tender day. The Yankees offered arbitration to Chien-Ming Wang, Wilson Betemit, Robinson Cano, and, somewhat surprisingly, Brian Bruney. The Yankees severed ties with Matt DeSalvo, Darrell Rasner, T.J. Beam, and Bronson Sardinha, who had already been designated for assignment.
Rasner may have lost a spot due Carl Pavano's reluctance to agree to a buy out and subsequent minor league deal.
