The Daily Yankeeland

It was a tough weekend. Had a dream the Yankees traded Mariano Rivera. I said that's it, I'm no longer rooting for them. Shut down My Pinstripes and that was that. And then I woke up. Phew.

Mark Prior's agent John Boggs admitted that both the Yankees and Mets have shown "preliminary interest" in his client. 11 teams have shown some interested to date for the right-hander, who will probably be ready to go in May. Prior had surgery on his right rotator cuff and labrum.
"He's playing catch right now and Dr. Andrews and his physical therapist feel like he's progressing nicely," Boggs said. "Mark is a guy who has no problem working hard. Barring anything unforeseen, he's going to be just fine. If we don't rush him, he could be very successful."

The Yankees are talking to the Twins again about Johan Santana, but their stance has not changed. They still refuse to include 2 top-notch young pitchers in the deal. Source

Nice piece by Kevin Kiernan in yesterday's Post on Joba Chamberlain.

Former Yankee Mike Lamb signed a 2-year deal on Friday to become the Twins new 3rd Baseman.

Chad Curtis gave his reaction to the news that his good friend Andy Pettitte admitted HGH use.
