Believe it or Not

The Minneapolis Star Tribune's La Velle E. Neal III (now that's a name) believes that Kei Igawa's name has been mentioned as part of talks surrounding Johan Santana. Take that for what it's worth.

The Twins checked in with the Yankees, Red Sox, and Mets prior to breaking for the holidays.
"There’s a belief that he [Igawa] needs to get out of New York to establish himself. And, of course, Twins pitching coach Rick Anderson isn’t afraid of such a project. It’s still believed that Phillip Hughes and Melky Cabrera would lead any package from the Yankees."
The beat goes on.
