Tuesday's Trade Rumors

The North County Times reports that the Padres are looking into acquiring Mike Piazza and Ryan Klesko. One has to wonder why any NL team would want Piazza since he can't play a position any more.

The NY Post is speculating that the Yankees are considering making a run at John Garland, and possibly Matt Thornton.

Time out for a quick FACT - Craig Biggio has announced that he will be retiring at the end of the season. Okay, back to rumor.

The NY Daily News reports that the Mets are considering acquiring Mark Loretta or Washington's Ronnie Belliard to replace the injured Jose Valentin.

Ken Rosenthal has reported that the Braves-White Sox talks surrounding Edgar Renteria and John Garland, have fallen through. A source told Rosenthal that the chances of Mark Teixeira being dealt are about 50/50, but the price will be high.
