The great ball man experiment has ended in San Diego. The Padres have asked unconditional waivers on veteran Jim Edmonds, after the newbie in Petco Park hit just .178 with 1 home run and 6 RBI. Edmonds has also struck out 24 times in 26 games.
In other news, the Blue Jays signed Brad Wilkerson, acquired Kevin Mench from the Rangers, and designated Gustavo Chacin for assignment.
