The once unthinkable is getting closer to becoming reality. Hours after stories broke that A-Rod had approached the Yankees about returning, reports are that the 2 sides are very close to a new deal. Sources have told mlb.com that a deal that could earn A-Rod close to $290 million could be completed at any time.
It was also reported earlier in the day that the Yankees demanded that Scott Boras not be a part of the negotiations, but a source later said that the requirement was untrue.
