The news comes straight from the horse's mouth. Yorvit Torrealba's agent told ESPN radio that his client agreed to a 3 year deal with the New York Mets. The Mets were looking for a defensive upgrade over Paul LoDuca (and less of a clubhouse presence). Once Jorge Posada was off the market, the Mets moved quickly to get the catcher who was next in demand.
