Worlds Apart

Tony LaRussa agreed to a new 2-year deal with the Cardinals today. There's also an option for a 3rd year. LaRussa started in St. Louis in 1996, just when Joe Torre was beginning with the Yankees. LaRussa has 6 division winners, and 2 World Series appearances, winning in 2006, since his hiring.

Big difference in expectations between NY and St. Louis.
