The Melkman Cycles
Melky Cabrera just became the first Yankee in 14 years to hit for the cycle when he tripled moments ago.
Cabrera is just the third Yankee in the last 37 years to hit for the cycle, joinging Tony Fernandez (1995) and Bobby Murcer (1972).
Cabrera homered in his first at-bat and added a double and single, but needed a single in the 9th inning to accomplish the feat. He lined a pitch off White Sox' reliever Scott Linebrink that right fielder Jermaine Dye misjudged. Cabrera never let up and beat the relay throw to 3rd base.
