Highs and Lowells

WBZ-TV in Boston has put in their 2 cents on the proposed deal the Yankees have offered Mike Lowell. Their sources indicate the deal is for between $50 and $55 million, not the 56-60 range that others have reported.

The average per year is about the same that the Sox have offered Lowell for 3 years. We still see Lowell going back to Boston. The Sox may not give a guaranteed 4th year, but they could up the ante for 3 years. Source

Jorge Posada can rest assured that someone has his back, or in this case, his back up. The Daily News is reporting/confirming that the Yankees and Jose Molina have agreed on a 2 year, $4 million deal.
