The Daily Yankeeland

We've only heard/seen excerpts of Roger Clemens' interview with Mike Wallace, but thus far we're not impressed. Clemens may be shooting himself in the foot - pun very much intended - with assertion that Brian McNamee only injected him with B-12 and Lidocaine. You generally do not get Lidocaine unless its mixed with something like Cortisone, which we had injected in our shoulder the other day (and damn that hurts).

The guys over at River Ave. Blues have a nice profile on prospect Adam Olbrychowski. Good thing the Yankees don't have names on the backs of their uniforms. Adam O. came out of Pepperdine and pitched for the Baby Bombers at Staten Island this past season.

This could finally be the year that Goose Gossage gets into the Hall of Fame. He deserves it. Plus there's the bonus of not having to listen to him complaining about not getting in. MLB.com takes a look at his increased chances. This year's inductees will be announced Tuesday, January 8.

If you get a chance to catch a repeat of the YES Network's Hot Stove show be sure to catch Kim Jones interview with Dave Eiland.

Tony Fernandez ('95) and Bobby Murcer ('72). Those are the last 2 Yankees to hit for the cycle. Pretty sad that Derek Jeter, A-Rod, etc. haven't been able to pull it off. Jesse Spector of the NY Daily News has a look at "The Cycle".
