The Boston Red Sox have acquired veteran pitcher, and "unwitting" HGH user, Paul Byrd from the Cleveland Indians for a player to be named later or cash. Byrd has been mediocre at best this season, but is coming off of one of his best starts.
For now he'll take the place of injured Tim Wakefield in the starting rotation and could eventually push Clay Buccholz out when Wakefield returns.
