Is it because athletes are in the spotlight than you average office worker or do athletes just seem to get into more trouble? This week we saw the following happen...
O.J. Simpson had his bond revoked and was sent back to prison after he reportedly tried to influence a fellow defendant's testimony. A judge will decide this week if the murdering RB stays there until his trial on kidnapping and robbery charges.
Marion Jones, who already had to give back her Olympic medals, was sentenced to 6 months in prison for lying to federal authorities in cases involving performing enhancing drugs, and bank fraud.
Denver Broncos tight end Daniel Graham was arrested on criminal mischief and harassment charges after his former girlfriend called police. An argument over the sale of their home inflamed Graham's anger.
San Diego State point guard Richie Williams pleaded guilty to underage drinking and driving with an open container in the car. As part of a plea deal, he lost his license for 1 year, was fined, and placed in a first-time offender program. The school suspended him for 3 games.
And so it goes on. If we listed all college athletes, we wouldn't have time to do anything else. Heck, the U. of Miami(Fla.) would take up Monday by itself.
