Ed Price of the Star-Ledger did a piece today on Roger Clemens mentoring Joba Chamberlain.
The Yankees lineup shuffle should continue tonight and tommorow with Jason Giambi back in at DH or 1st Base. The Giambino is 12-34 (.353) with 3 HRs and 8 RBI, plus 7 walks, against Kelvim Escobar. He's hitting .400 (12-30) with 2 HR, 6 RBI against John Lackey. Might not be a bad idea to start Jose Molina at catcher since he caught Escobar many times and Jorge Posada (5-38, 20 Ks) does not hit Escobar well.
Mike Myers signed on with the Chicago White Sox yesterday, and Miguel Cairo has inked a minor league deal with the defending champion St. Lous Cardinals. Anyone notice the Cards are suddenly 3 out in the NL Central?
Bob Raissman, who loves to criticize everyone and anyone, had his take on the YES discussion of the Joba Chamberlain rules in today's Daily News.
Newsday's Kat O'Brien talked to Jose Molina about his move to the Yankees and his return to Anaheim last night.
I'm amazed at the anger shown by some Yankees fans over Phil Hughes' performance last night. Clearly, Joba Chamberlain's performance has set the expectation very high for other young pitchers. We'll see how these same fans react when Joba goes back to a starting role and suffers the expected growing pains.
