The Yankees added to their Triple-A roster yesterday by inking former KC Royals prospect Runelvys Hernandez. He was pitching in the Red Sox organization, but took an opportunity to opt out of his contract when it became apparent he wasn't going to pitch with the big club.
Hernandez was 25-33 with a 5.38 ERA in 4 years with the Royals. He was highly touted, but injuries, attitude, and a love for food have sidetracked his career.
