We have to preface this post by telling you just how much we loathe Rick Sutcliffe as a color commentator. It's nothing personal, don't know the guy, but he's plain awful in the booth.
He's right up there with Steve Phillips for talking out his ass, that is when he's not fawning all over Erin Andrews. The Huckleberry Hound delivery doesn't help.
Seems that a couple of weeks back ol' Sutcliffe accused/inferred that Alex Rodriguez of/was verbally tipping pitches to Mark Teixeira from the on-deck circle. A-Rod and Tex didn't take too kindly to the accusation and confronted Sutcliffe in the Yankees clubhouse. Teixeira wouldn't comment on what said, but told reporters to ask Sutcliffe.
Sutcliffe downplayed the incident, of course, but he's just another example of a lazy ex-jock who doesn't belong the booth.
A-Rod and Tex aren't the only angry ones either. Some idiot blogger, not all of us are great ;), pondered if Raul Ibanez was using performance enhancing drugs. Ibanez angrily responded that he would give every type of sample possible and would give back all of his money if he ever failed a PED drug test.
