The Astros touched up LaTroy Hawkins for a couple of runs, but he wasn't hit hard. Shelley Duncan couldn't handle a grounder at first and Hunter Pence delivered a run with an infield single.

But the Yankees came right back to tie the game in the bottom of the 5th. Brett Gardner sped his way to a lead off triple and scored on a double by Melky Cabrera. After Derek Jeter moved the runner to 3rd, Robinson Cano singled through the drawn in infield.
