Cano Tops Donnie Baseball
Robinson Cano rose to a prestigious height during Wednesday night's win over the KC Royals at Yankee Stadium. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Cano is the first Yankee to have at least 100 hits and 50 RBI before the All-Star break in four straight years.
Cano breaks the record he shared with Don Mattingly, who accomplished the feat in three straight seasons from 1984 to 1986. Cano entered Thursday's play with 102 hits and 62 RBI this season.
