Pettitte Contradicts News Report

Andy Pettitte told the NY Post's George King that he will be starting Sunday against Anaheim as planned. Pettitte said it's normal for him not to feel 100% this time of year, but he's good to go, and he had no idea where the story that broke in the NY Daily News came from.

"I am fine. [Missing a start] is news to me," Pettitte said, speaking in the Yankees clubhouse before tonight's game in Texas. "I feel great. No one has ever discussed missing a start with me. I am pitching. I have not discussed missing a start with anybody."

Asked how his left, pitching arm was feeling, Pettitte replied, "I'm good."
