The Daily Yankeeland

By now you know of the Yankees flirtation with the Giants concerning Hideki Matsui. According to several sources, the Giants were told "no", when they asked if Matsui was available. That answer seems to fly in the face of all the rumors we heard last week. And then there's this...
"I don't want to get into that stuff," (Hank) Steinbrenner said. "I don't want to make any type of comment on that."
Uh oh...that means Matsui is definitely available and the Yankees are shopping him to some degree.

The Yankees are expected to finally announce Mariano Rivera's contract today, and A-Rod's sometime later in the week. Source
