The Seattle Times is reporting that Mariners' center fielder Ichiro Suzuki is on the verge of a signing a 5 year contract extension. The deal is said to approach $100 million and could be announced as early as Friday.
Ichiro was set to be a free agent following the 2007 season. Source.
