My latest piece for the Yahoo Contributor Network is about the loss of Yankees great Bill "Moose" Skowron. Though I never saw him play, I have fond memories of many an Old Timer's Day with Moose, Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Joe DiMaggio and more.

ReplyDeleteread your piece. My dad Coot Veal was with the Tigers and one game at Yankee stadium he hit a ball to short. The throw pulled Moose off the bag and down the line where my dad ran into Moose and Broke Moose's arm. I believe it knocked him out for the season. Not sure which year FYI
