We are not amused.Wang was examined Monday at New York Presbyterian Hospital Columbia Medical Center by Stuart Hershon, the Yankees' team physician, Dr. Jason Greisberg, a foot and ankle specialist, the Yankees said. According to a statement released by the team, "Imaging studies revealed a mid-foot sprain of the Lisfranc ligament of the right foot and a partial tear of the peroneal longus tendon of the right foot."
Wang will be on crutches and wear a protective boot for a minimum of six weeks, the statement said. The Yankees initially said Wang had a sprained foot after Sunday's game.
