We talked a little bit the other day about the ridiculousness that is sports memorabilia. Specifically how overpriced it is. The latest piece of memory that could bring a small fortune is a World Series photo of the two greatest Yankees of all time, Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig.

The photo was taken during the 1927 series when the Yankees Murderer's Row lineup crushed the Pittsburgh Pirates in a 4-game sweep.

Leland's Auction House has the photo up for bidding on its website through June 6. Josh Leland Evans, the auction house's founder, expects that the photo could fetch a 100K. It would be the first photo to reach that plateau.
