The great ball man experiment has ended in San Diego. The Padres have asked unconditional waivers on veteran Jim Edmonds, after the newbie in Petco Park hit just .178 with 1 home run and 6 RBI. Edmonds has also struck out 24 times in 26 games.In other news, the Blue Jays signed Brad Wilkerson, acquired Kevin Mench from the Rangers, and designated Gustavo Chacin for assignment.
