Ed Price of the
Star-Ledger reports that despite the self imposed deadline, the
Yankees have resumed talks with the
Twins regarding
Johan Santana.
"We're still thinking about it," senior vice president Hank Steinbrenner said yesterday. "We haven't ruled it out completely. We're still considering it. I haven't closed the door completely on Santana."
Steinbrenner said that
Brian Cashman spoke to the Twins once this past week. The Yankees are also one of a reported dozen teams who reportedly are interested in
Mark Prior.
