Louisville 3 Scranton 1
Matt DeSalvo, who is expected to be recalled to pitch for the Yankees in their doubleheader next Sunday, was throwing a 1-hit gem when he ran into trouble in the 8th. Former Yankee Mark Bellhorn tied the game up at 1-1 with his 11th HR of the season and the Bats scored another run to take the lead for good. A good line score for DeSalvo despite the loss - 7 IP 3 H 2 ER 2 BB 6 K. Hopefully he can throw with the same confidence against the Devil Rays.

Vermont 7 Staten Island 2
Highly touted prospect Dellin Betances was on the mound for the Baby Bombers, but he gave up 2 runs in 3 innings pitched and took the loss. Justin Snyder had 2 hits, a walk, and RBI.
Update (7/16 3:20 pm) - Betances left the game after 3 innings due to elbow stiffness. The S.I. training staff will monitor this situation closely to determine when Betances can return to the mound.
