Yankees Weekend in Beantown

Sorry for the late entry today. Catching up on all we missed while out of town. Last night's loss was a tough one. Ian Kennedy threw a masterful 7 innings of 1-hit ball (on a ball that Melky probably should have caught) , only to see Chris Britton lose it to the Jays in the 9th 2-1.

We won't get into a long diatribe here, but enough with saving your closer on the road. Going by the book sometimes is as dumb as it gets. Also have to be concerned about the lack of hitting the last 2 nights, though props to A.J. Burnett for one helluva performance.

Here's the pitching for this weekend's series and there are some good ones.

Friday - Andy Pettitte (13-8, 3.78) vs. Daisuke Matsuzaka (14-12, 4.44)
Dice-K 2-1 against the Yankees, but a 6.98 ERA

Saturday - Chien-Ming Wang (18-6, 3.69) vs. Josh Beckett (18-6, 3.27)
Cy Young Square off?

Sunday - Roger Clemens (6-6. 5.45) vs. Curt Schilling (8-7, 3.93)
Will the Rocket's arm hold up? For that matter, will Schitbag's?
